Scaling the Heights of Irony

I’ve not been much concerned about whether stores say “Merry Christmass” or “Have a nice Kwanzaa.” Who cares? It’s all about money and buying and selling. Why would you want Christ attached to that? Here’s a story with irony so strong, even the mainstream press notices it. The Christkindlmarket in Chicago was asked by the city not to have advertisements for the movie The Nativity Story. In case you didn’t know, Christkindlmarket–however strange–means “Christ-child market.” Apparently, they don’t know German in Chicago.
