Every autumn, I am reminded of C.S Lewis’s thought regarding time. Human beings, since the Fall, feel the contraint of the passing of minutes, hours, and days. We can never have enough time, and as the leaves change color and fall, any autumn enthusiast longs for an age in which such beauty lasts forever. Of course, Lewis, being a student of Scripture, reminds us then that such a kingdom is coming. It is that eternal kingdom, already initiated through Jesus Christ and reaching complete fulfillment with His next appearance.
These days, what person/place/thing is reminding you that we have yet to reach the Last Day?
