Eisegeting Scripture

Josh S. at Here We Stand has some very good and funny [funny because they’re true?] examples of how we read into Scripture our own preconceived notions of what God must have meant (i.e., eisegesis; reading into). We should all be trained to practice such criticism, not only on others but on ourselves and our own readings of Scripture.
