Timely Topic

If you are free September 20-21, come to Concordia Seminary’s Theological Symposium. The residents of the Gulf Coast area could surely benefit from this dialogue, but I do not think the seminary facilities could hold them all.

  1. On immigration:
I’ve lived “south of the border” for 32 years, in Colombia and Argentina. I think a border fence should be built and immigration strickly controled. Those that wish to stay in the U.S. should be required to learn Enlish and show proof that they want to be good citizens. But consider this about those that have entered illegally. In countries where many laws are impossible to obey, the people get used to breaking the law in some sense all the time. They develop a sense of rightness apart from civil law so that entering the U.S. illegally may have only been their bid for a decent way of life. Among those who have entered illegally, some might become good citizens if they had the chance.

  2. Nothing seems to be easier than seeing someone whom you can help but not helping.
I suggest we start giving it a try. Give love to the ones that need it.
    God will appreciate it.
